- Take a look at SuperTCP 3.0 from Frontier Technologies,
- which supports multiple interfaces, and has internal
- SLIP support.
-
- Keeping with the excellence of his past traditions, I have
- no doubt that this is something that Mr. Tattam will add
- to the Trumpet Winsock.

- I did it and it works fine ;-). Here comes a rudiment of my autoexec.nos
- which will declare the routing:
-
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The following autoexec works fine with 'nos192' or nos10b, a ka9q-
- version compiled by Ashok. You find the actual versions at
- biochemistry.cwru.edu in /pub/nos or so.
-
- # =============
- # /autoexec.nos
- # =============
- # name and ip-address of your slipserver
- hostname mvmpc31.ciw.uni-karlsruhe.de
- ip address 129.13.118.31
- domain suffix ciw.uni-karlsruhe.de.
-
- # the packetdriver for slip is 'cslipper' from Peter Tattam
- attach packet 0x63 sl0 5 1500
- # the packetdriver for ethernet is ne2000.com
- attach packet 0x60 en0 5 1500
-
- # telnet sessions need many buffers...especially, if
- # the mtu-size of the clients is too big (>560).
- memory ibufsize 1600
- memory nibufs 30
-
- # TCP/IP
- ip rtimer 60
- ip ttl 50
- tcp mss 1436
- tcp window 4500
-
- # Routing....
- # here comes the routing of our ethernetcard.
- # 129.13.118.254 is our local gateway. We have a class C
- # net, so we route every ip beginning with 129.13.118.
- route add default en0 129.13.118.254
- route add 129.13.118.0/24 en0
-
- # Slip-Routing..
- # we assign ip 129.13.118.30 to the slip-interface. The users have to
- # configure this ip as their 'own ip-address'
- route add 129.13.118.30 sl0
- # ARP..
- # we assign this ip to the hardwareaddress of our ethernetcard
- arp publish 129.13.118.30 ether 00:00:c0:0a:0f:65
-
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- If you don't want to give acces to everybody, you need a login-programm.
- I wrote such a programm, whith which I can assign a password and a maximum
- online-time/day to any user of our slipgate. This programm also watches the
- CD-status of the modem, disabling the slipdriver if there is no connect. So we
- don't have any problems, caused by packets, which are send to the modem,
- while there is no carrier. Those packets can make an hangup of the the modem
- in the connectphase or totally deprgramm it! My login-tool also writes a logfile
- with usernames, date and times of connections. This programm will become
- Shareware or PD in the next few weeks.
-
- Hope I could help.
-
- bye,
- Karl-Heinz
